KAN Registration Opens February 14

KAN Registration Opens February 14

Knit Australia Nights is coming to Bendigo

Registration Opens on February 14

The inaugural Knit Australia Nights is growing and getting better and better! We now have six outstanding tutors: three international and three locals. All are offering exceptional class programmes across a wide variety of disciplines, as well as knitting, there is crochet, embroidery, dyeing, wet felting, photography and now authentic Japanese Temari!

In short you could come to KAN and not even know how to knit and still have a full three days planned. So with that in mind, make sure you spread the news about this event. It is timed to be adjacent to the Australian Sheep and Wool show, so if you are making the trip to Bendigo from across Australia or across the ditch from New Zealand, you have the ability to do both, otherwise attend KAN only and escape Bendigo before the rush.

Here are the key things you need to know...

Knit Australia Nights - Bendigo

  • Classes from Sunday 12th - 14th July
  • Base Registration $150 - includes access to the event, ability to book classes, access to social space, market access and goody bag
  • Most Classes will be either six hour master classes or three hour skill sessions
  • Class costs: $150 for master class & $80 per three hour class
  • Some classes may attract additional material fees or all inclusive workshop fees ($180 - $250)
  • Trading Table (3 days) - $150 (limited spaces)
  • Venue: Quality Hotel Lakeside - 286 Napier St, Bendigo VIC 3550, Australia +61 3 5445 5300
  • Registration for the event opens February 14th at 10am AEDT (12pm NZDT)

Accommodation will be at your own care - Lakeside has rooms available for the duration of KAN but not for the Sheep & Wool show. If you plan to stay for both events you may wish to book off site. We strongly encourage that you book your accommodation early, as this becomes more scarce closer to the event. If you require help booking accommodation, please reach out to our travel partner Sally Cooper at HelloWorld Winston Hills sally.winstonhills@helloworld.com.au

If you are planning to stay on for The Sheep and Wool Show, we are working on activities for Wed 15th and Thurs 16th ahead of the show opening on Friday the 17th - so you will be able to participate in some group fun with your new KAN friends. Make sure when you register you select the option that indicates you are staying on, so we can get an idea of numbers.

We now have six outstanding tutors lined up - Libby Jonson from Truly Myrtle & Lisa Craig from LisaF Designs will be travelling across from New Zealand and I am delighted to announce that Rika from NONA Temari in Japan will also be joining us to teach two Temari workshops. They will be joining local expertise from Kathryn Trippett from The Australian Wool Store, JoAnn Barr from JAMB Hatsand Kathy Vasic from Driftwood Cottage Designs

Start your planning now - talk with your friends, share this email and gather up a group to join in the fun.

Cheers
Kathryn x
